My dad still uses a circa 2006 ThinkPad Lenovo T60, they aren't bad laptops, having said that I still use a 2005 Latitude D810 and my family don't generally set fire to their computers... ;)

I know Lenovos are good, and Dells too. There was a one Dell that I know was god awful (that like everyone I knew had) the E1505... I had three of those come through me to get fixed with the same problem. (endless power cycling, with a problem that couldn't be identified)

You know I was thinking of taking a trip to Europe...don't make me come there first :O

Well I went with the Dell 15R Special Edition for $574! A damn good deal if I say so myself :), I'll let you all know my thoughts!

This thing is awesome!!!

 

Display is beautiful, speakers really kick and everything is very quick and snappy! Just installed all my drivers and it's running perfect. So very happy with my purchase!
