Andrewr05s mITX build list

So the past few months I've barely been able to game (mostly due to less free time available; I started a night job) and due to a combination of my computer being deathly slow and Steam basically crashing 99.9% of the time I launch it.

So yeah, I'm reduced to playing vintage games as anything else is deathly slow.

The thing is though, I dont have much time to even game so my PC has basically been on the back burner, I almost don't even give a shit that its slow because I use it so little.

I have an older laptop that browses the web fine and I use that about as much as my desktop.

I'd LIKE this computer to be functional again, but I'm just having a hard time necessitating the expense to fix it.

His PSU is under your limit because it is only 380W and that is all he needs, why spend double on something he doesn't use?

If you are going to give advice, be at least a bit more considerate on what he has in his PC...

The parts you chose where pretty good tho.

Yeah, the PSU is only 380w and it is 80+ certified...

Also I'm not against an AMD build at all, in fact I have a similar build on PCPartPickers.

Why not get a used and better video card? That seems to be the way to go for the $150 and below range...

+1

The cheaper the better.

Might be tough with the stupid mining mayhem but here's a nice deal....though I wonder what could, or couldn't work in the Mini-ITX setup... What was your reasoning to go M-ITX if I may be so curious?

(I was going to recommend THIS with hopes to find another but the M-ITX killed that idea...)

I'm not sold on M-ITX, atleast for a main build. Too many drawbacks unless you're rich lol. You can't cut cost in some ways that you can with a mid-tower setup/ATX setup.... mainly with videocard compatibility.

For instance, I was going to recommend a better AMD machine but realized the case would be a little too cozy

I have a great M-ITX HTPC that I'm super happy with...ironically I'd be 100% happy with it if there were room to throw in a modest graphics card since the APU can't handle ripped/RAW bluray files.
