The NDA has lifted on AMD's Vishera FX-8350 CPU.

I wonder how the power consumption was when overclocked...5+ GHz and that voltage has got to be toasty! :evilgrin:

I was hoping the single-threaded performance would go up to at least Phenom II level though. :(

I wonder how the power consumption was when overclocked...5+ GHz and that voltage has got to be toasty! :evilgrin:

I was hoping the single-threaded performance would go up to at least Phenom II level though. :(

Gonna read this later though. 5+GHz tell me its all cores now.

Man these spammers are geniuses...put (NO SPAM) in the thread title to hide the spam.  It's brilliant.  Hopefully this doesn't catch on...what if rapists wear signs that say (NOT A RAPIST)?  They will be raping everybody! D:

Actually the H-100 handled it very well :)

It's now sitting in the Holodeck ( I installed the third radiator) and is 23 minutes into OCCT @ 5.3GHz :cheers:

So you didn't test in the holodeck? Also 5.5 looks nicer than 5.3 ;)

Haha well looks like you finally have that upgrade you where after now to bring quadfire back again :)

It's on order :P heheh. There are rumors that with Heavy duty watercooling 5.5 is doable, guess I'm gonna find out :)

How much does the CPU pull at those speeds/volts? My 8120 pulled over 400 watts when pushed hard...

It appears that OC power consumption is down by 15-18% with the 8350.

Wow...it's not any more efficient than the 8150 at stock. The higher clocks can be blamed for that I guess...which means overclocked consumption should be down a decent amount (but still sky high).


Oh well. People will buy them anyway. :lol:
