If you can still play all the games you want with it, there's no need for an upgrade. By the time you can't, more powerful cards will be out, or the current existing line of cards will be cheaper.

You'd get buy with nearly every game on just a 5870 and you essentially have two!

Well ... 2 x 5850 actually

CPU: i7 920 @ 3.4 GHz 1.2v. == Chilled by Titan Fenrir Evo ==
video: Inno3D nVidia GTX 470 @ 775/1550/1775.
RAM: OCZ Gold 2x2GB @ 1440 CL7 1.65v.
HDD: Cheap-O HDD.
PSU: Corsair 650TX.
case: NZXT Hades.

Well ... 2 x 5850 actually

A 5970 is two downclocked 5870s. 5850s have fewer shaders.

:withstupid: and I've never heard of a 5970 that couldn't *atleast* reach 5870 level clocks
