Uses the SF-1222 controller with it's own 32nm Asynchronous ABL NAND flash memory. You'll see many 120GB Synchronous NAND SSD's for about this price. While Synchronous NAND is faster than Asynchronous, due to Interleaving, 240GB Asynchronous will be faster than 120GB Synchronous NAND in all but Incompressible Sequential Read and Random 4K Reads. A great drive at an amazing price. Though performance will suffer as more of the drive is filled with data, most users won't notice any real world differences except in benchmarks.
