You get 1 year warranty and 1 month of Amazon Prime.



I bought mine during the last sale (the original post date). It came looking brand new. Package had the AC charger and Kindle Fire (no manual or USB cable). You will want a Micro-B USB cable (like the Blackberry one).

Kindle Fire is easily root-able and you can install any custom ROM you want. I'm currently running Energy ICS CM9 3.0 Kernel. If you're not comfortable with cmd line, there is an utility that can do all these commands for you.

Practically stopped using my Lenovo Thinkpad X120e 11.6" laptop.

Yeah, I gave in. I had a $5 for $10 promo I used, and I have Amazon Prime, which makes shipping free and a two-day delivery.

Rawr! Kindle Fire + "Energy" ICS CM9 Kang ROM Themed rocks. So much better than the CM7 rom I had on there earlier.

No hardware acceleration on CM9 for Kindle Fire though. However, I was still able to watch anime (streams) and play apps.

Side Note, saw Amazon has restocked refurbs but at $170 :(
