Eh, not the design I was thinking of. Here's a very crude sketch of what I was thinking.

So basically a heatpipe cooler with a waterblock bolted on to the base?

I'm not sure if that would work well or not. Heatpipes need a temperature differential to work properly - so that setup would probably only work well with extremely hot chips. If I were more crazy/daring I'd try to hack something together like that for myself but I don't want to ruin my only waterblock in the attempt. :lol:
