the older one died just last year which is no big deal cause it might be my negligence. shelved that working '08 160GB.
now running with 3 x 500GB WD Blue, 1 x 640GD WD Green this time since 2011. works fine tho and idk which of those three brands may i call which i preferred.
HDD life/failure; matter of luck or how we treated them, idk

Of course! But with Maxtor you do have to go backOlder HDDs still bear those logos with them.
