Seems to be quite a bit of spam today and it made me think. Is there a way we could block users from creating links in posts or adding images until they've been a member for a couple days?

But a lot of new members post links to newegg and what not, product pages. And ask for opinions and advice on new builds. You'd stop a few spammers, but alienate new members.

Best thing to do is just hit the Report button on a post and let the mods handle it. Our mods are spread out around the world fairly well, so there are always a couple on OCC or near/at a computer at least.

G.Skill 8GB DDR3-1600 - OCZ Agility 4 128GB SSD - Seagate 500GB + 750GB - WD 1TB - Cooler Master SPH 1050W

And whatever you do, DON'T BUMP THE THREAD. Reporting it is all that's needed...bumping it only annoys people. :P

Also some of the quickest responding mods too I find that OCC deals with spam well much better than many other forums.

Man these spammers are geniuses...put (NO SPAM) in the thread title to hide the spam.  It's brilliant.  Hopefully this doesn't catch on...what if rapists wear signs that say (NOT A RAPIST)?  They will be raping everybody! D:
