I do not do a whole lot of console gaming but I do own a PS3. This article is still a little vague but alarming. Is it only going to be games with mutiplayer components?(what it says) Or all of them? This is just another example of where things are heading.

Wow, if you own the cd you should be able to play it whether it's used or not. What if your XBOX 720 breaks (the 360 was great at that)?

I don't think they would do it. Publishers are better off just charging the $15 online pass vs banning all used games.

:withstupid: If they go the route of stopping us from playing used games then I wont have a reason to buy a console. I only buy used games. I only bring in 20k a year and I will be damned if I spend $60+ per game. I would much rather just tune up my PC every year instead. I can already hook up my PS3 controller to my computer. Why would I need to buy a new system if I cant do with it what I want? Microsoft FAIL! :rtfm: :rtfm: :rtfm: :rtfm: :rtfm: :rtfm: :rtfm: :rtfm: :rtfm:

Plus they are going to use old Tech. It may be six times better then the current gen but they are still going to start off the system behind the curve.

This stuff boils my blood. I am a gamefly member! I buy used games from them and Gamestop. I do enjoy playing on my consoles but I will gladly give them up based only on principle. Hopefully this is just a bad rumor!

I posted yesterday about some of the rumors so far.

Early reports indicate the GPU will be an AMD HD 6670, possibly a Blu-ray drive, a better Kinect, and of course, that lack of playing used games. Until some actual facts come out about it not playing used games, I'll wait to reserve judgement on that.
