Hard Drive Prices - WAT?
#1

My friend's running out of space on his hard drive, so I'm like: "yo, I TELL YOU WHAT, you can get a 1.5TB hard drive EZPZ for $70, friend."
I tell him to hop on Newegg, and the 1.5TB drives are around $150, and my response to hearing this is an obvious: "wat".
So I checked, and sure enough, the drives were indeed that expensive. He wasn't lying to me.
Now I must ask, why the price gouging? Is it because of the tsunami in Japan? :/

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

Did you not see it on the news or the thread on it.
They will be up for the next year or two till the factories are back in full production.

Yup, floods in Thailand will cause a shortage into next year. Prices went up because the supply is limited, and will remain so for some time.

Meanwhile stock up on memory while its cheap...
You know, I am not even planning to build until early summer, but this is a good idea. The price of memory couldn't get much cheaper.
