With the prices of HDDs having increased due to the flooding in Thailand, maybe it's time to seriously consider a solid state drive. Today we have a review covering the Mushkin Chronos 60GB - http://www.overclock...ushkin_chronos/

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz / ASUS P5Q Deluxe / Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB PC2-9600 DDR2-1200MHz / 2x Seagate ST3160827AS 160GB RAID 1 / Seagate ST31000340AS 1TB
Corsair TX750W / Sapphire HD 5870 1GB GDDR5 / SilverStone TJ05 / Scythe Zipang 140mm CPU Cooler / ASUS VH202T-P 20" widescreen monitor (x2) / XP Pro SP 3

Looks like a drive filled with slow flash to hit a low price point...but without the low price point? Granted, AS SSD and CDM use incompressible data to highlight the actual flash performance, but those read and write speeds are pretty abysmally low for a brand new 6 Gbps Sandforce 2281 drive. With flash that slow I would have expected a much lower price tag.
