Also I would just use fans and zip ties.

What about overall system temperatures and trying it out on a few different cards?

i mean, you should have tested it with a vga that doesn't have active cooling OR by doing a comparison between 6970's stock cooler and 6970's heatsink only + titan dual X. That's where it would bright, maybe it would perform better than the stock cooler, and that's what the review should have tested.
right now my twin frozr II fans decided to die, leaving me with the heatsink only, and then i saw a glimmer of hope by combining my twin frozr heatsink with the titan dual x.. and then i end up here hoping that you guys did a decent review (as always), but meeeeeeh, this review is just wrong..
