Black64 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Have you seen the benchmarks before buying this..... Don't be surprised if you see no difference in performance over your X4.
SpikeSoprano Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Wasn't sure you'd go for it after the reviews, glad you did, looking forward to some oc's and benches. If you don't post them I'm outta this forum,LOL !
DanTheGamer11 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Nice Are you going to be oc'ing it on water ? What were the OC in the review on air? Can you disable 4 cores so you get the full 256 floating point bit or what ever? Measure the wattage drawn by it reviews are saying nearly 500w... maybe thats why the mobos have two power sockets? At stock it's quite eco-friendly... it idles much lower than Sandy Bridge and under load it's barely above the 2600K. But yeah the performance/power under load is still better with Sandy Bridge. Black64 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 (edited) Oh, it'll be faster. You'll see. But will it be faster at 3.2GHz? Edited October 13, 2011 by Black6464

I kept wondering how you knew this and then I saw that you are a reviewer... shame about module only... did you try quadcore(80%) performance? I'm confused is it better than a phenom ii x4 or x6? Here mate how does the 2500k do better than the 2600k in Winrawr(actually zip....) at stock? Actaully never mind I've been reading it backwards... the old Phenoms do better Does Bibble 5 use multicore? Its not Bulldozers time yet... Waco Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 But will it be faster at 3.2GHz? I'll run a couple stock tests (3.1 GHz normal, 3.4 GHz turbo, 4 GHz max turbo) but it'll end up overclocked pretty quickly.
OrangeJuice Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Bulldozer dissapointed me. I'm gonna hold off on the FX and see if they announce a newer chip any time in a few weeks.
