Ya its an expensive no doubt, but if you want the cooling aspect of it this is the card to get.

Well when you look at the cost of the EK block and then the cost on a reference HD 6990 the price is right on the money for what you are getting. Its fast and it runs cool but it does have a price tag for that performance. Honestly if I ran a reference 6990 every day while gaming I would go to water cooling just to shut it up under load. That goes for any 69XX and 68XX series reference AMD card for that matter.
