Is beats a GTX 580 in Crysis Warhead at 1650x1050 overclocked?

That 6850 did a pretty nice job for it's price, I still can't get over the awesome power consumption of the 570 though

Why not compare the maximum core clocks to other 6850's.

Why not compare the maximum core clocks to other 6850's.
Because I have to draw the line on testing. With all of the new drivers coming out we don't have time to keep going back and retesting everything every single time.

Plus you can find the info in past 6850 reviews. The other side of that coin is that not all silicon is going to overclock the same. Just like CPU's you get the good the bad and the average. Just as a point the HD 6850 I tested just last week went to 1022MHz on the core so 1000+ is a pretty good clock speed for this card.
