check out the links for the burned gtx590's

the problem is the weak VRM's. overclocking on this card would be a Russian Roulete

Good review, but I will not spend more than $200+ on a card again.
This is just an idea but on the test graphs to make them easier to read could we assign a number to each card?
Reason is the "greens" are so close to each other.

Exactly. These review sites are just not liking Nvidia it seems. I mean, Tech power up for some reason did not increase voltages on their HD 6990 in the overclocking section, odd. Why didn't they up the voltages on it way out of spec? Its really getting annoying seeing everyone say the GTX 590 blows because of these reviews being retarded.

buy an angled sata thingy?

It's the location of the ports on the motherboard itself, so only a new motherboard would help.

Nope the main goals have been stated already Cooler, Quieter , Less power consumption and the ability to fit the card into more affordable(mid tower) cases

That's the thing though, that kind of stuff goes towards the average consumer, like me. I don't want the biggest baddest thing out there that is top of the line tech. I want something that is pretty decent, doesn't cost a whole bunch, and cools well/consumes less power. Which is why I got the 6870. $200 and I get a new card that can handle most games with decent FPS.

$700 for a card that is using those same logistics is counter-productive. If you're going to spend money, you get top of the line, biggest baddest stuff. If you want "cooler temps, less power, fits into mid towers", you get a smaller card. Last time I checked, people spending $700 on one video card weren't concerned about if it will fit in their mid-tower, or how much the case is.

Which also brings up another topic, if you are worried about temps, get a better case. I guarantee my 932 cools better than any mid-tower. And, surprise, it's a full tower.

Only trying to show that for the price, this card is POINTLESS.

If you want the best performance that is unrivaled by anything else, you will get 4 GTX 580 3gbs. That is unrivaled by anything AMD has. Sure it costs more, but like you said Trap, when you spend that much money cost isn't a concern.

I think you should vary the colors up a little bit instead of using various shades of green. Maybe I was the only one who found that slightly annoying. :dunno:

A good review though, but I'm not entirely impressed by the card.

:withstupid: for your whole post.

yeah it performs well, i was just disappointed that in most of the tests the GTX570 SLi beat it for a lower price.
