If it's Thermalright, then we must be talking cooling. This time around we're looking at a CPU cooler designed for passive operation although it can mount one or two fans if desired: Thermalright HR-02 - http://www.overclock...rmalright_hr02/

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz / ASUS P5Q Deluxe / Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB PC2-9600 DDR2-1200MHz / 2x Seagate ST3160827AS 160GB RAID 1 / Seagate ST31000340AS 1TB
Corsair TX750W / Sapphire HD 5870 1GB GDDR5 / SilverStone TJ05 / Scythe Zipang 140mm CPU Cooler / ASUS VH202T-P 20" widescreen monitor (x2) / XP Pro SP 3

I would have thought it would have performed much better with a fan.....strange.

Thanks for the review!

:withstupid: I wonder how it would do in push/pull as well.
“Rumor has it the State of the Union is today rather than tomorrow to avoid conflicting with the Lost premiere. But my feelings towards one are pretty similar to my feelings towards the other: I’m confused by the most recent plot twists and skeptical that the writers can wrap it all up in one tidy package.” By Ezra Klein, talking about the 2010 State of the Union Address.

The thing runs a Core i7 920 with a 3.4 Ghz OC passively. That alone gives it some serious credentials. Then to run better with a fan at 1300 RPM is pretty sick. Where this cooler excels is low flow and low noise.

Absolutely. The Prolimatech Super Mega/Megahalems can't even do that (well). I tried the Super Mega passively and at 3.4ghz it shot up to almost 90 degrees celsius.
