TERA (MMORPG)

I just found about this game today. A new company called En Masse Entertainment recently announced they are planning to bring over a Korean MMORPG known as TERA (The Exiled Realm of Arborea). It is a Pay to Play game developed by Bluehole Studio. Bluehole Studio has a team of experienced personnel in the MMORPG world.

 

I haven't heard of either of these, until today. It seems En Masse Entertainment is founded by former members of NCsoft, Blizzard, ArenaNet, EA, and Microsoft. So I would say they are an experienced group.

Oh TERA, why did you have to be pay to play model. The land of pretty graphics, skimpy armor, lolis, and action based combat system.

Looks great, like they said in the video the questing system is very much like other MMO's which is unavoidable but the combat is what intrigues me the most..

Played an hour or so with a Berserker (2 hander slow swinging class) and Archer (ranged bow). Combat is nice if your into action games like Vindictus.

I guess you call it that. But I wouldn't say 3rd person shooter, because its a classic RPG with melee, ranged, and spells (zero guns).

No auto targeting, you aim everything.

That's what I meant. If there's no targeting, then it is a 3rd-person shooter. Basically what I'm asking is, do you have to be accurate to hit something? Or does being relatively close with your crosshair hit the enemy target?

Length of your weapon takes into account (splash damage). I find it weird calling a melee fighter a shooter. Like calling Dynasty Warriors or Assassin's Creed a 3rd person shooter.
