AMD has lifted the wraps off of another new processor and OCC is there with an evaluation of the AMD Athlon II X4 620 Quad Core Processor - http://www.overclock...ws/athlon2_620/

Wow, $100 for a quad...Looks like AMD is pushing the bottom end pretty hard :)

I was quite impressed with it for the price. I think it has a lot of potential especially with the low thermal output when under water.

I think you got a bad batch, other reviewers seem to be clocking the 620 around 3.5-3.8ghz

I think I'd rather have the x2 550 for this price, but I guess if you needed the cores but didn't have the cash than that's where this processor shines.
I'd be interested to see how the 550 and the perform vs one another (identical clocks and in the cases where 4 cores are used, the 550 could be overclocked to the max)

And a lot of other sites don't actually do a lot of stability testing like OCC does. ;)

Well then i dont know why AJ's chip didn't clock as high. I guess instead of batch i should say dud? But that doesn't take away from the quality of the review...excellent review AJ :)
