As many of you know, OCC currently offers 6 different Folding@Home images that you can use to proudly display your Folding@Home stats. These 6 images can be seen at the bottom of this page. The HTML code provided for those will only work for you if you plan on using the image on your personal site, MySpace page, or something else. As many of you have found out, this code will not work for you if you wish to use it in your signature on the forums.

The basic HTML code for image # 1 is:

To use this image in your sig, it will need to be converted over to BBCODE which is the special markup language used by the forum software.

For example, to use image # 1, your code would need to look like this:

[url=http://www.overclockersclub.com/pages/folding/][img]http://overclockersclub.com/foldingimage.php?image=1&name=d3bruts1d&.jpg[/img][/url]

This would in turn, output the following:



If you look at the HTML vs BBCODE, you will notice that the image URL has change slightly. The forums require anything between the image tags [ img] [/ img] to end in a valid image format (.gif, .png, .jpg, etc.). Because of this, &.jpg was added to the end. I'm not sure if this was implemented in a software update or what, but this requirement was not always in place. Many of you may still have an OCC F@H Image that you added a year or more ago. Because of the [new?] requirement, if you attempt to edit your signature without appending the &.jpg to the end of the image URL the forums will give you the following error:

You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http ://www.domain .com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http ://www.domain .com/picture.one.gif


To use one of the other OCC F@H images simply change the image=1 part of the URL to a different number (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11).

And yes, these images only work for members participating in Folding@Home for members of team #12772. If you input a username that is not on the team roster, then no image will be displayed!

yay finally got a folding sig back. i went so long without knowing how it was done, i was used to the actual option one selects from a drop down menu in the control panel smile.gif
