Portability is listed as one of the 'features' in the conclusion.........well who'd a thunkit? Yet the fan isnt mentioned, cept in the con's list and the 'deciding factors' of size and external appearance, arent discussed.......

First I have to say that Propane made a good job.

However, since it could be considered as a case, it could have been interesting to test HDD temperatures. Especially with the small fan and the PCB that blocks air flow...

Without an external probe would there be a way for the computer to read the temperature of a non-SATA or IDE hardrive?

If you see the cops - LEAVE.

If the cops are coming - Don't be there.
If you show up and the cops are already there - DISAPPEAR.
Anyplace the cops are and you aren't, is a good day

Yeah... Didn't think to that... Maybe the HDD probes are still usable ?? or at least as you said, internal case temperature could have been measured with an external probe...

Ya it would be hard getting temps with a temp gun being that the unit would need to be sealed. This is one of those things that makes you go

I'm assuming reading them through SMART is out of the question since it's a quasi-RAID over USB setup?
