we've just taken a look at the Tagan Icy Box external hard drive enclosure - check out the verdict!

However, since it could be considered as a case, it could have been interesting to test HDD temperatures. Especially with the small fan and the PCB that blocks air flow...

Without an external probe would there be a way for the computer to read the temperature of a non-SATA or IDE hardrive?However, since it could be considered as a case, it could have been interesting to test HDD temperatures.

Yeah... Didn't think to that... Maybe the HDD probes are still usable ?? or at least as you said, internal case temperature could have been measured with an external probe...Without an external probe would there be a way for the computer to read the temperature of a non-SATA or IDE hardrive?
