Hi guys i need help in over clocking my athlon x II 240
i sometimes get it to 3.5 ghz and it will work but if i reboot it will not boot up...
my specs

asus m4n68t-m-le-v2
cooler master hyper cpu cooler
4 gb corsair vengence 1600 mhz
GTX 560
cooler master extreme 600w

Odd to think that these CPUs clock faster at stock than Agena ever did on extreme overclocks.

Same here, but I undervolt it to 1.225V (from 1.35V) so it runs much cooler when folding. (I use PhenomMsrTweaker for undervolting.)

Hey guys! I'm new to this and thought I might post my stuff on here if you guys don't mind too much. Let me know what you thing of my rig. I'm having a hard time getting it to OC more that a 4.0GHz stable for some reason. I will post pics and cpu-z and Super Pi stats soon. Any suggestions that could help with the overclocking would be welcomed. I've seen this cpu get OC'ed to a 4.4GHz but can't seem to get mine there and be stable. Currently I have it is clocked at a 4.1 GHz, but I would love to be able to push it to the 4.4GHz limit.

Over Clock Data Base....

this was for when CPUs had a hard time reaching 3.0ghz...

now that they run stock at 3.0ghz and above you guys posting with 3.0ghz + CPU speeds need to be in the 4.0ghz class...

Early Athlons and Phenoms go here and Athlon II and Phenom II go in the 4.0ghz class....
