noise is one of the advantage..i dont think you can get those OC temps with stock cooler even at 100%, maybe yes but i doubt it... someone should make a test -
it depens how much money do you want to spent on cooler - cheap option-> gelid tranquillo pretty good cooling expensive-> NHU12P SE, fans on cca 600RPM, 720BE OC 3600 and in OCCT i never got more than 47degrees

if for someone is stock fan at 100% an option then wow...5850 at 100% stock is jetfighter. I own MK13, I put 1xP12-1300 and 1xFLX to cool it, now going on 650RPM dead silent, i hear HDD more than GPU. results with MK-13 are-> max.temperatures OC 1000/1250 heaven2-> DispIO:50, MemIO:59, Shaders:58, VRM (thermalright VRM R4): 62 OC 900/1250 furmark (6min)-> DispIO:54, MemIO:62,Shaders:61, VRM (thermalright VRM R4): 67 OC 900/1250 Metro 2033-> DispIO:49, MemIO:57,Shaders:53,VRM (thermalright VRM R4): 59 765/1125 Bad Comapny 2-> DispIO:46, MemIO:54,Shaders:52,VRM (thermalright VRM R4): 50 765/1125 Dirt 2-> DispIO:46, MemIO:52,Shaders:50,VRM (thermalright VRM R4): 50 someone wants to make comparision with stockcooler even at 100%? there is no better cooler for 5850 and 5870 out there than proli mk-13 -
well i dont want stock cooler i will go witch accelero for 100%, just want to know what is better to keep heatspreader/backplate on + accelero or use on whole card heat sinks + accelero

Hi guys, I would like to know your opinion on how to cool OC asus 5850. Im getting 5850 on january didnt preorder it coz i thought there would be relatively enough of this cards...mistakeeee well I narrowed my choice of cooling from thermaltake ISGC v320 and accelero S1 rev 2 to accelero after I saw it can be fitted on card with some tweaking. Im planning to OC to max (accelero + 2x120 noctua [s12 1200,FLX on ULNA]) Well I would like to know your opinion what cooling would be better 1. heatspreader on + heat sink (acceleros' or thermalright) on VRMA + accelero 2. heat sink (acceleros' or thermalright) on RAM + VRMA + accelero ? what will be most efficient? really thanks
