the way i see it with the ram and video card thing is... you can always add another hard drive later but buying another video card will cost you more in the long run.

well keep in mind this guys an amateur, and he doesnt even know what hes doing yet. So i wouldnt wanna kill him in price, im already near my limit. I think ill go with a bigger hard drive tho. I dont understand why some of you guys suggest a tv tuner card! If he uses fire wire to transfer the video why would i need that.

my buddy need a pc to create his own smowboarding dvd's and hes willing to spend around 2000 candian. Usually i build people amd systems but for video editing intel seems to take the benchmarks. The below specs are what i was thinking about building for him. Keep in mind i know nothing about intel! thanks

I just noticed a flicker on my monitor today with a dark wallpaper in the background. Im assuming thats why lately my eyes were hurting a little and it was getting tired. After some fiddling i got rid of it by dropping my refresh rate from 85hz to 75hz. Ive got a sapphire 9800 pro and a samsung 753df monitor. 85hz is the highest the moniotr does at 1024 by 768. Im just wondering if anybody else has experienced this and whats going on?

alot depends on how hard you hit the curb! theres a chance you may have bent suspension parts (lower control arm, knuckle etc), damaged wheel bearing etc. Also if the rim took a hard enough hit it may be warped, especially if its a steel rim. also kevins right. Take it to a dealership. Theres a good chance theyll take a look and tell you what u need without charging you anything. We do it all the time at my shop.
