EuroFight Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 You can jump two pins on the motherboard connector I believe. Can't remember which ones...
DanTheGamer11 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Yeah I remember that much too! Think it was a green and black somewhere! Braegnok Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 (edited) First unplug PSU then,..You can cut a U shape wire strip both ends, put one end in the black and one end in the green on your 24-pin connector, but before turning on PSU hook up a fan to any 12V connector so you have a power draw. It's not good to start a power supply with no load. Good Luck. Edited July 3, 2013 by Braegnok

d6bmg Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Change of plans, got a Cooler Master GX 650W instead of the 530W Thermaltake I planned on getting. Do you guys think games like Stalker and the first Crysis would be bottlenecksed much since they're pretty old? Been wanting to experience em in all their glory for a long time now uh GX650? Their reviews don't looks that promising. As for PSU testing, sort green & black (wire-color) pins. The fan should spin unless it is load sensitive. DanTheGamer11 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Yeah, Kitguru seems to like it, if it works I'll be happy they not reputable? It seems to be the new revision too
d6bmg Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Yeah, Kitguru seems to like it, if it works I'll be happy they not reputable? It seems to be the new revision too AFAIK, Coolermaster's GX series had problem with the efficiency, specially at higher load. If they have solved it already, then it should be a pretty good PSU. DanTheGamer11 Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Ah I doubt I'll be using it at 650W anyways Stuck between buying a HD 7850 from Overclockers.co.UK or a Sapphire 7870 OC from France, RMA is my main concern :/
Braegnok Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Check OCC Market Place, the OCC Boss may still have a used HD7970 leftover for $275.00 Shipped.
