Onion Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) I started gaming again today and in about 30 minutes of gaming, I got two blue screens. Both of them were related to drivers. Game was iRacing if it matters (really not very demanding). I ran WhoCrashed to get an explanation of what happened and here are the logs. crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\042914-6281-01.dmpThis was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x153FA0)Bugcheck code: 0xDE (0x2, 0xFFFFC000F8340C58, 0xFFFFF68064A186F9, 0x1151278C0)Error: POOL_CORRUPTION_IN_FILE_AREAfile path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exeproduct: http://www.google.com/search?q=Microsoft%C2%AE%20Windows%C2%AE%20Operating%20System'>Microsoft Edited April 30, 2014 by Onion

Nyt Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Tried again this morning, this time I got a memory management BSOD. I think your sig might be a little outdated, as I don't see an SSD in there ? Also, what CPU/Mobo/RAM are you running and their overclocked speeds ?
wevsspot Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Onion, what program did you run to analyze the SMART data?
El_Capitan Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Run at command prompt: chkdsk /f Then reboot. See if it resolves anything. Otherwise, if you can back up your data or make a backup image, I'd suggest secure erasing your SSD and restoring your backup image onto it. You can use Parted Magic, which is free, and you can install it on a USB flash drive. It's fixed a similar issue on one of my older SSD's. Off topic: Nyt_Ryda (the name) is back! Onion Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Chkdsk isn't doing anything for me. It tells me it'll run on reboot, I do a reboot, and nothing happens. Boots right back up into Windows.

If you have your install disk, or have a bootable Windows USB flash drive, you can run chkdsk there. If not, you can try doing it in Safe Mode. If not, this might help: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/check-disk-will-not-run-at-startup
Onion Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I'll burn it to a flash drive and try that, thanks Capitan.

wevsspot Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Are you running the command prompt command as an administrator? If not try that first. If your laptop still won't run chkdsk at startup, try running it from within the Windows OS.
