  1. just waving a hand from down here in Alvarado

  2. It may not be the monitor. If you are capable, pull the lid off of your graphics card and reapply thermal paste. Makes a world of difference and the GPU will thank you.
  3. Just saw a Gamer's Nexus Youtube video which might explain your problem. Seems that sometimes a graphics card may spike high current under load. The card sees the high current draw and shuts down. In some cases, your computer could also shut down. They were specifically talking about the 3080/3090 but also can affect AMD. A bigger power supply would help. Good quality onlu - no crapola.
  4. If you have that kind of $$$ - LG 34BK95U-W Ultrafine 34" 21:9 5K/2K 5120x2160 https://www.amazon.com/LG-34BK95U-W-UltraFine-UltraWide-Thunderbolt/dp/B07JP1QK9T/ref=sr_1_20?crid=4A0PUSR0C10F&keywords=lg+34"+monitor&qid=1650550389&sprefix=lg+34+monitor%2Caps%2C138&sr=8-20
  5. Thanks for the video. Nice to put a face to the name. Merry Christmas............
  6. Or, for something reasonably priced, if you have a few extra $$$ get a new battery from http://www.kahlon.com/
  7. I am a bit late to this post but you might want to look at Gamer's Nexus, Linus and JayzTwoCents reviews on YouTube. All agree that for the marginal increase in performance the 3080TI is overpriced Buyer Beware.
  8. I know you have probably already made your choice but wanted to pass on some info. About 2 years go I decided to go to a VPN and started looking around for the best and most reliable. I went thru several VPN providers before I settled on Mozilla VPN. The problem with the other VPN providers was that I use Thunderbird and more often than not, I would fail to get mail and sending mail often required that I shut down the VPN in order to send mail without a failure to connect error. In the case of 2 VPNs, after a software update, Win 10 would crash. Only a system restore fixed the problem. Thank God for Restore Points and system backups. Also, of note, if you are on Amazon Prime, you can not watch any videos using a VPN. Amazon simply will not let you do it. This was true of every VPN that I used. I have dropped Prime.
  9. You might try a search on your C Drive for "startup". There are several "startup" folders. Look in each one for any programs you have not installed. Particularly in your "Users" folder under AppData.
  10. Even before I dropped Netflix I had become disappointed with their selections which I thought were weak. Add to that I became really concerned with Netflix when they moved to a PC/Woke/Socialist/Marxist agenda. When Netflix brought the Obamas on board their membership really started dropping. Not sure they will survive.
  11. When pointed at you, you should hear more highs and a little less base. Highs tend to dissipate when not pointed at you. Voices, like talk shows should appear more clear.
  12. Trying to do a response to "cloning my os" but get a message saying I am blocked. Reason?

  13. If you buy KeyFinder Plus, you can view all your product keys - $18.......... https://www.top-password.com/product-key-finder.html
  14. It is interesting to see what users are up to when it comes to backup. Sometime back I replaced my Win 10 boot drive with a 1TB WD Blue. I use another WD Blue for backup. For backups I use Minitool which provides the ability to created a Boot USB for Backup. Because I an a retired tech, it is easy for me to boot from the USB and do the backup by creating a mirrored C drive. Minitool does a lot of other things like allocating partitions regardless of the drive size. Good luck with the Cloud Backup.
