  1. Well I tried that but the software wouldn't recognize my drive without good drivers already being installed. So I tried it in a different computer and it worked fine so it is software related. But I fixed it anyway I had to do a system restore to a few days back and now all is well again. Thanks for the idea and help though.
  2. I am having some problems with my combo drive just wondering if anyone here has some suggestions for me. Ok first off the drive is being recongnized by my Bios and it is listed in my device manager with an exclamation in yellow over it. It is not showing under My Computer. The error it is saying in my device manager is this "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)." So the driver is frigged I try uninstalling the drive and when I try to add it back I get the same error as listed above. Does anyone know how I can get this driver loaded and remember I have no working cd/dvd drives till I can replace this driver. I need some suggestions I can't play BF2 it's driving me insane! The drive is a Samsung TS-H492A and the rest of the pertinent info is in my sig. Oh and just so you know Samsung says this is a slim drive which it is not it's a full size internal drive. Also Samsung support truly blows!
  3. Well here's what I did with mine I'm not a regular on here. But I thought my experience might be helpful to you a bit. All I did was go to autozone and got some split loom and some zip ties and it looks much better now. Before: After:
  4. Very nice job! I can only get my stupid XL to 11,674 with my settings at 424/555. I can go 435 on my core but I try and play it safe.
  5. I'll buy the ram for $125.00 I would buy it for the $175.00 but it's for sale at newegg for $179.00.OCZ EL Platinum Revision 2 1GB (2 x 512MB)
  6. Just wondering what kind of cooling other X800 XL owners are using. I can only get a 15 mhz overclock on the core of this thing with the reference ATI cooler. I was thinking about getting one of these 4 I really would choose the zalman last because I don't really like having the fan run at either 7 volts or 12 volts I'd rather have it using the fan controller of the video card. Just would like to have your input to help me decide, I've been reading reviews on these 4 and they all cool rather well. http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ductCode=372523 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ductCode=370867 http://heatsinkfactory.com/cgi-bin/HFAstor...atalogno=VC-027 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ductCode=373042
  7. This is before I o/ced my processor. 3DMark 03: 10,888
  8. This is without my processor being o/ced. I have it clocked to 3.4 now from 3.2. 3DMark 01: 21,100
  9. Well here's a X800 XL bench for ya with a slight o/c on my processor from 3.2 to 3.4. Not to shabby if I say so myself. 3DMark 05: 4,839

Talk about not being single slot design. What cooler is that I wanna put one on my X800 XL if it will fit of course.

    What's That Sound?

I bet if you woulda raised the top fan by about half of an inch you woulda either got better performance or take-off!
  14. What kind of price are you thinking about for a sell?
  15. Ok I was just wondering because I've never had a set up I could actually overclock or that gave me options to do so. So I need to know if I can tighten my ram timings without having to mess with my CPU. I can't include a pic of my bios because I don't have a digital camera but here are the links to my Ram and my Motherboard if you all can tell me I would like to get my timings to 2-2-2-6 or atleast 2-3-2-6. Also what kind of DDR2 would you guys recommend I was thinking about getting These because they are the cheapest set of dual channel DDR2 I could find with those tight timings.
