  1. Correct me if I am wrong. But I think you just need to have at least 3 sticks to make DDR3 work. If you have 4 sticks then 2 will just be on the same dimm.
  2. I think am at at about 1.9 QPI voltage right now. I really appreciate all of the help. Alot of the ram does not say compatable with x58 motherboards. Am I safe to assume that if it says DDR 3 PC12800 it should be compatible?
  3. Compatible with Intel LGA1155/LGA1156 and AMD AM3/Llano/AM3+ platforms Intel XMP support for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors Will this work with the LGA1366? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231429
  4. 3x2Gb is what I currently have. Did you use the same type of ram, timing etc. Did you have to increase any voltage once you did this?
  5. Haha. Nice. I read some problems with overclocks when adding 32 Gb. Maybe I should only add 4 x 4 Gb= 16Gb.
  6. Weird question will adding a substantical amount of ram use more CPU and power? I am running a 650 watt power supply.
  7. Probably retiring. I need to fit more ram in each slot. I currently have 2 gB x3 sticks in the machine. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145253 The ram I currently have has been discontinued. I need more ram per slot. It seem the newer ram has much looser timings. Thanks again for all the help. I don't know why I am having so much trouble figuring out what ram to get. I love corsair. Will the lower voltage ram work?
  8. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233296 Will this work? Or will I need to get ram that is rated @ 1600 mhz. The voltage on this is different then the ram I currently have. I am running @ about 1400 mhz currently.
  9. 64 bit os. Thanks so much. I may just get a new kit. Should I take heat spreaders off. http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=faqs&step=2&products_id=31&lng=en
  10. I was thinking of getting some more ram. I currently have a an i7 920. With 6 Gb of ram. Corsair Dominators 7-7-7-20 Running at 9-9-9-24. I have noticed that alot of the newer ram runs and 1.5v opposed to 1.65 volts, and a lot of the ram timings are a lot slower now for DDR3 memory then they were a few years ago. Any thoughts on what I can do to get more memory? Will I have to retire my current memory? I also have a noctua heat sink and may need to remove the heat spreaders on the ram. Is this recomended for OCing the ram. Thanks for all of the help guys.
  11. Hey guys I am deciding to on an internal blu ray drive. The only problem is I don't have internet. Is their any drives that do offline updates?
  12. Is there a way to download the tv guide for media center offline, and then bring to a computer with no internet access?
  13. So I been thinking about replacing the stock fans (Outake) on my 183 case. To get some quieter ones with more air flow. Here are the specs of the current stock fans (120mm): High 2000 2.2 m
  14. Okay thank you. Do you know of any software that can check this?
