road-runner Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Nice review,I was thinking about ordering P45 now I see there is hardly and gain over X38. I guess I will just save my money...
Great_Gig Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Perfect timing for the review, as I am just considering buying one of these boards - makes the decision easier
road-runner Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Looks like the only real advantage would be with C2Ds, quads do not really go much higher. I think if a person is buying a new board sure get the P45, however I see no real gain to upgrading from what I already have... ccokeman Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 From what I have seen Wolfdales are monsters on these boards. 630 FSB plus.
CanadaGUY Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I'm getting the itch to go with the pro version of this and 2 4850's
bradharris Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Does anyone know what the OC settings where on this test? I just ordered a virtually identical system and would be interested in some baselines. Don't want to go overly crazy but I believe 3.6ghz should be realistic.
ccokeman Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Start off with the settings on auto. Except vcore , vdimm and set your memory timings manually will be a good start. From there you will need to tweak for your setup as each is different.
