kennethk Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 I'm thinking about putting a 750ti card underneath my 7950 card and only use it when I stay at other places, would I run into any problems? I'm not asking if I can sli a amd card with a GeForce card I'm only asking if I can have both on one motherboard without causing any problems. Black64 Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 I don't think you can do that, even for running just shield you need to only be running one card.
ClayMeow Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 As Black64 said, not sure it would work as simply as you want. You'd probably have to disable the AMD card whenever you want to stream, but I'm not sure. Your best bet would be to search/ask on the official SHIELD forums: https://forums.geforce.com/default/board/111/nvidia-shield/
The Smith Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 The NVIDIA drivers can surely run alongside the AMD ones for each of their video adapter. If Shield streaming doesn't work and you have the game running on the NVIDIA adapter, then it might very well be an intentional limitation.
