The problem is people buy overrated crap when they could be buying a lower wattage quality power supply for the same price. I do know lots of people who have crap 600 or 700W power supplies when for the same price they could have had a quality 400 or 500W that would adequately power their build. So it doesn't matter that Hardware Secrets has really good informative articles? I would rather read a quality article on a poorly designed website than read crap on a nice new fancy website. Not only that but I like Hardware Secrets layout. Its not the fanciest, but its very functional and honestly not bad looking, just simple. You say that hardware secrets has no right to criticize others, but you criticize them and you apparently can't even use capitals properly or use full sentences.

First off use this power supply calculator not neweggs. I put in your specs and your rig is pulling less than 200W. I would also recommend looking at reviews from Jonny Guru. One of his PSU reviews is ten times more useful than 100 newegg reviews... As said before the corsair and antec are good choices. The Coolmax is crappy don't even consider it. BFG exited from the graphics card market and fired alot of their PSU team. It was rumored that they were going to drop out of the PSU market as well. Kingwin is even worse than Coolmax in my opinion, their power supplies are all about appearance without the performance to back up their claims. This is my 2003 Ford Focus SVT ZX5 one of only 120 in that color and year. Pictures are with my iphone on the day I bought it.

There will be lag even though the usb is much slower than the main drive. What slows it down so much is the fact that the hard drive has to keep seeking (the slowest part) back and forth between the data going to the external and the data being used by the OS and web browser. All that jumping back and forth creates the lag.

For silent fans the best are probably Scythe Gentle Typhoon fans, they have good static pressure and are very quiet. If you want something cheaper you can get the Scythe Slipstream, I recommend the 1200rpm they move a good bit of air and are still very quiet. SilenX fans now have a bad name I'm not sure exactly why but they are no longer recommended by most people. Get something more like 12". I had a netbook right after they first came out, but this summer I sold it and bought this gateway except with a different processor (1.4Ghz Core 2 Solo). The new size is much better both for screen resolution and for keyboard size. Plus it is like twice as powerful as my old netbook, and runs cooler. Overall just much nice than your average underpowered netbook, it will actually play 720p Youtube videos without stuttering. Most of the time people recommend a gt240 or 8800gt for a PhysX.

I personally wouldn't even consider 3GB of ram... Things are you using more and more ram all the time. Plus it would be better to have 3X2GB than, 6X1GB in the future... six sticks would put more strain on the memory controller. I definitely would keep your HAF 932 and probably even your current hard drives. This is just something I threw together, and you probably will want to go a bit cheaper on some stuff, but its a start. (note you will have to use parts of your old rig in this)

The SeaSonic X750 Gold 750W is one of the best powersupply money can buy in the 750W range (well it was last time I checked) but here is the JonnyGuru Review.

The corsair HX1000 is one of Corsairs worst power supplies... though it is still very good, but just not as good as the other Corsair power supplies.
