Post your i5 2500k / i7 2600k overclocks!

lol thermaltake FRIO. that was just with a quick prime run though well see, im gonna let it go for an hour and see if the computer is still on afterwards :biggrin:

im wondering if maybe i should do a reseat. I have one core thats way colder than the others

Oddly enough, after I moved all the components to a different case with a different set of memory and a different water cooling set-up, the 4.6GHz voltages were no longer stable. I had to bump them up a bit. I heard that's the case with the Sandy Bridge CPU's, but I wonder if it's because of the Rev 2 motherboards? Anyways, updated my specs. I'm thinking 4.5GHz might be the best overclock to voltage ratio, I'll have to test it out some other time. :(

I'm Not brave enough to really push it but I think I have one of those super 2600K's. I've got it at 4.5mhz 100% Prime95 stable on Vcore of 1.82 and thats only due to huge Vdroop underload. I downloaded a trial version of AIDA64 and one screen it show the multiplier range between 16 and 63!, I have attached a screenshot. I keep seeing CPU Voltages of over 1.35 for much lower OC's. I'm using Asus P8P67 Deluxe motherboard.

hi all,

just built my 1st intel pc running a i5 2500k will only do 4.3ghz stable.

wanted to run it at 4.5ghz but no matter what settings or bios version the bios will freeze and i have

to reset cmos. here are my specs.

2500k

gigabyte p67a ud4 b3 f3 bios (tried all plus betas)

noctua nh d14 max temps 51c at 4.3ghz

8gb g skill ram 2 x 4gb sticks at 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 tried 1300mhz with 4.5ghz but still froze bios.

corsair f60 ssd drive

corsair 850w modular psu

 

if any one has some OC tips i would appreciate it as i cant understand why it wont do 4.5ghz

What are your settings at right now?

1.82 Vcore will KILL your chip. I hope that's a typo...
