RadioActivated Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I have an pneumatic impact wrench and it has a "oil" plug that can unscrew to oil the gun. Does anybody know what type of oil and how much of it I must use to oil my wrench properly ? impact wrench picture Thanks ! ebm666 Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 You oil them daily if you dont have an inline oiler and you use air tool oil. if you cant find that you can use transmission fluid.
ebm666 Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) I looked at your pic that plug is not for the oil, you put the oil in the air supply inlet and you use about 8 drops for normal use. RadioActivated Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 That picture was just for reference to show what I was talking about ! No, I do not have an inline automatic oiler but I do intend on getting one. Do you know of a good place I could get one ? Also, what would be the best oil ? Thanks ! RadioActivated Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 (edited) What type of oil should I use ? I would read my owner's manual for this but unfortunately I do not have it anymore and the Campbell Hausfeld site doesn't hold the corresponding PDF manual for my compressor or impact wrench. Is there a specific oil I must use ? I don't have any transmission oil on hand so I matters well get the real oil that is needed. I read that I must put between 5-10 drops of oil in the air inlet before each use if I don't have an inline oiler, is this true or false ? Thanks for any advice ! Julio Holy crap man, they've said Air Tool Oil many times already. And yes oil it. I never oiled it that much, but that would be a good start.
