Uploading Save Files from PS3 onto USB Flash Drive

Need some support/help with this...

I have a PS3 that I am shipping (via FED-SEX EXPRESS) to my youngest brother and I need to make sure that ALL/MOST/SOME of the Data Saves might be transferred onto a USB Flash Card so that I may transfer the files to another PS3 for future use.

THX,

Logitech 5.1 z960 (digital out) $349.00

not perfect here,

however, I c the system settings > Data Transfer Utility wants me to be able to have 2 PS3s connected through ethernet and I don't have a cross fire cable.

My best option is a FlashCard that I might have to use several times to get all my Trophies and a FEW saved files.

Plz help me understand why Data Transfer Utility is NOT seeing my USB Flash Card.

Perhaps it is because I do not have a USB 'Setting' on there properly or maybe it is the type of Flash Card I am using.

Not sure.

Regards.

Okay, I reformatted and I am still wondering if the USB Cable 'Setting' needs to be turned (ON)/OFF and so far I am misplacing that in the Settings.

Am I to be able to understand that your telling me, that this PS3 should be able to 'Recognize' this here USBFlash as long as it's formatted to FAT32.

So far, with this particular model of USB FlashDrive, I am only allotted two choices, exFAT and NTFS.

The exFAT was default and was recently reformatted as an NTFS, which I believe is the same as a FAT32.

Essentially being called an NTFS FAT32

Still not working though, which was my reason behind the 'Settings' question.

My bad, I was on crack.  It was called League of Legends.

I am sober now and I love my PS3.

It should definitely let you format it as a FAT32 drive... maybe try another drive formatting program if the built in windows function refuses to give you the option. NTFS is *not* FAT32

I managed to find a discreet nonchalant program called 'GUIFormat,' that works great and really fast 2.

Is there also a way that I might be able to put ALL of my 'Trophies' on a Memory Stick/Flash Drive as well.

I appreciate all your help so far, 'They call me... General Help'

Trophies are tied to your PSN/SEN account, so when you log into the new PS3 they'll automatically show up.

That, was why I was wondering, also, why you aren't allowed to transfer trophies over from one ps3 to another ps3, without having to sign on to your PSN account.

It's just a bit convoluted because I have a 'few' PSN accounts

Thanks so far.  At least I managed to get my Saved Files Transferred over and made to back up on Flash Card.

You 2 gentlemen have been very helpful.  I can't stress the importance of having an external hdd, 4 backing up consoles and the like.  Just, found that GUIFormat 2 Fat32 is the way to go and were off.

You wouldn't happen to know why my bad ass 'God of War' Red PS3 DualShock SixAxis isn't posting up on my ps3.

lights flash when plugged into the console's usb, it just shuts out afterwards and does nothing until i reset again with a toothpick or dental tool.

whatever else I may find.

Love to be able to get this gorgeous red dualshock in working reign again.

peace.
