Our latest review covers the game Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason. To see how ell the game performs, we put it through its paces using six different videocards using four from Nvidia (GTX 295, GTX 285, GTX 275, and GTX 260 216SP), and two from ATI (HD 4870x2 and HD 4890) - http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/cr...sis_evaluation/

I loved this game! Few games manage to keep me interested to the end, but this one did!

It also made me jump in my chair a few times..

I played it on my 4850 @ 1680x1050 at medium settings.

Interesting to see secondary card PhysX performance enhancement from the GTS250... gives some idea of the benefit of holding onto an 8 or 9 series card when upgrading to GTX200 series :)

The ATI cards will give you decent performance with Physx disabled but the point of playing a game besides winning is to enjoy all the features of the game.

Wait! there's a Shred of hope for ATI owners! - What about if you install an Ageia PhysX Card? i was going to buy one a while back, but the lack of games supporting it held me back. If Cryostasis will take advantage of the PhysX card then im putting it back on my To Buy list! :D

Can you explain what you mean, Steve?

I have an 8800GTX in my gaming rig, so unfortunately this review doesn't seem to tell me what kind of performance I could expect. IMO, it would have been nice to see at least one 9 series card thrown into the mix since lots of people still use 8 & 9 series.

No I don't need it. I have always been an Nvidia man myself. Something about ATI cards just rub me the wrong way. Not sure why. Anyways, if anyone wants to buy an old Ageia card, I have one.

lol, the exact opposite can be said for me, ive been with both over the years and i found something doesnt rub me the right way about the green camp, and im not sure why either :P i guess its just a personal prefereance thing. So how much would you be wanting for it? and is it the pci-e x1 slot version or the regular pci one?

For me it was price point that has rubbed me the wrong way since the 8 series. To me it Nvidia comes off as a greedy money hoarding company.. not sure exactly why there either.
