  1. All that makes sense. I do defragment and am aware of most good xp tweaks, so I see partitioning the drive would do nothing to help performance. Now if I got another hard drive it seems that if I split the OS and programs it would help? Do you think that if had the money to do that it would be worth it?
  2. If I partition my hard drive into mainly 4 drives for xp on one partition, programs on another, games on another, and downloading on another would that increase the speed of my system at all? I have a seagate 120 gig. If so what program should i partition with and how big to make each partition for? Recommendation welcomed. Thanks!
  3. I have a kt600 and they arent good for much...I have had the same problem (i think) with my video card. The computer would restard randomly while gaming and all. I had to lower the agp slot down to 4x to get it stable!?!? Its stupid! I plan on getting another mb cause when I bought this its good stock but sucks when it comes to doing custom timing. hope that helps
  4. Yea I should prob go with an asus board...Ill look into one with pciX later in a couple of months...
  5. I have a soyo kt600 which is crappy for overclocking, so I guess I need to get an amd 64 bit 3200+ I was thinking an msi board would best go with my msi video card? Guess it doesnt matter cause I like asus. SOo what board do you guys recommend?
  6. Whats a color pcb? I have an associates in electronics and computer systems and I dont know what that is...lol Well, gotta break down and ask I guess!
  7. it has a via chipset... I knew there was something wrong with it cause I should have more control over the stuff...Thanks for your input! Maybe there is a bios update that will unlock crap? keepem coming!
  8. I have a Soyo kt600 dragon motherboard. I think it is the plus model (low grade model). Anyways hopefully it is good with overclocking cause I want to jack my speed up on my 2800+ barton cpu. Right now I read... CPU is 45 deg C internal and 37 deg C external Chassis is 30 deg C (Is this North bus? It has heatsink and fan...) 2.07 GHz Vcore is 1.64V and not changable (how can I change it?) Ram 400 mhz with heatsink msi 5900 128mb DDR core is @ 390 mhz stock heatsink FSB is 166 (goes up to 199) I have a great case with an 120mm in front and two 80s in back with a cheap 550 watt power supply plus a coolermaster cpu heatsink. Any help on what you would do with this information on hand would be helpful! I know I should raise the vcore by .025V when im unstable, but I dont know how to!?!? PLEASE HELP! Thanks!
  9. I like how that looks and works! Great inovation!!!
  10. Problem Solved! I just reloaded Call of Duty and It should work great. I was told that there where often problems with these complications and that people had downloaded server stuff and it screws it up. I think I downloaded a pb server updater for it and it crapped the software. I hope this helps people solve any COD issues they have with hard locks!
  11. CALL OF DUTY WONT RUN! Technically I started out playing fine, then I got pb init error that stopped the game about a minute into playing. Then I updated punk buster and now the game does a hard lockup about one minute into playing online. I thought it might be hardware or punkbuster but I have all the latest drivers and updates for my 2800 barton, fx5900xt, and kt600 motherboard. Also my ram is cheap 3200 400mhz 512mb and I dont think that would be causeing any bad lockups like this. Any help would be nice! Thanks! Pic-I am =uC= at top, keep me playing so I can whoop some more a$$!
  12. That is great idea but is impractical for most people! I would just get a screen to hook to the video card to sit next to your monitor or something...
