It's not going anywhere lol, but it made my HTPC a real firecracker given the surrounding hardware. (I still love that little E350, it'll always hold a special place in my heart even if it finally gives up the ghost)

Yeah but it's the same generation tech you'd be getting, so why spend more (especially on a small "try out" SSD)

That's half as much as I would expect if it was sold in aus. I would totally buy that because 2x 512GB 840 pros here cost $1k

 

Have you ever thought of having someone in the US buy it for you and then send it to you? I understand that it's hard to trust someone with that much cash but I am sure you have enough friends here that you could do that.

Or why not get an sshd which is just about 15 seconds behind an ssd.
