Andrewr05 Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 So I was away from home for the weekend and when I came home my computer would not connect to the internet. I tried a different cable, a different port on my computer and a different port on the modem. I also tried a program called 'MacShift' and it reset the adapter and did some stuff and things... I updated the drivers, made sure the adapters were set up properly in the bios, even changed the DNS server to OpenDNS. No luck, it went kaput. Also the audio chipset hasn't worked in a year and the USB headers for the front panel ports stopped working as well. So basically I think this board is finally ready for the grave. BluePanda Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Sadly that generation of hardware is all gone from this house Let me know if you consider upgrading...may have some things for ya.
Andrewr05 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I'd love to upgrade, but I need the money and the motivation to go for it. At this point I would need to upgrade the motherboard, CPU and RAM. So that's why I want to find a cheap 775 board to hold me off.
bp9801 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I have a 775 board still, although I don't know if it's in working order. Hasn't been used for the better part of three years.
Andrewr05 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 That's what sucks, I don't want to yank this whole thing apart and.reassemble with a new board that doesn't work.
IVIYTH0S Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 That's what sucks, I don't want to yank this whole thing apart and.reassemble with a new board that doesn't work. You could assemble/test it outside the case?

You could assemble/test it outside the case?Indeed I could, but that doesn't negate that I could assemble a system and have it not work. Then if it did work I'd have to put it into a case anyways. Ideally I'd like something equal to or better than this x48 board. Edited August 28, 2013 by Andrewr05
