The dinosaur bragging forum

I guess I'll do the whole lot of them (from what I can remember).

First machine that was personally mine:

Pentium 66 upgraded with an OverDrive! chip at 120 MHz

64 MB RAM

Who knows what motherboard, it came from Microcenter

Second rig:

Celeron 300 overclocked to 450 MHz

128 MB RAM or so

Again, random motherboard from Microcenter. I think it was a Tyan

Third:

Celeron 800 overclocked to 1.2 GHz

256 MB RAM (maybe 384? It was a long time ago)

GPU was a Riva TNT2 m64, overclocked slightly but not much

No clue on the motherboard, something green. :P

Fourth:

Athlon XP 1700+ DLT3C running at 2.4 GHz (stock speed 1.4 GHz). I modded it using the exacto knife trick and bits of wire in the socket to raise the stock vcore.

DFI nForce 2 Ultra Infinity

768 MB RAM

Geforce ti4200 with a lapped core (yes, I was insane to do this) and a custom heatsink/fan combo

Fifth:

Athlon64 3000+ overclocked to something I don't remember...and updated to an Opteron 175 at some point which I de-lidded

Chaintech VFN4 Ultra mobo

9800 Pro modded to XT

1.5 GB RAM

The rest of my systems from then on aren't quite old enough to be called dinosaurs just yet. :P

I think the first good system I had was a PIII 700MHZ, the fastest at the time I think was a 733mhz. I had a 40GB HDD, 64MB SD 100MHZ Memory, 4X CD Burner and a 8MB Savage 4 Video Card man I was the man on block with that rig

My first power house was a gateway(lol) I modded back in 2000

P3 667mhz(really 666) 133 bus with a thermal right copper sink and 92mm fan(no oc as the mobo didn't support neither did any software at the time)

The mobo would support 1GB of PC 133 ram which it did have

It had two 80GB drives running in raid zero,

A cd burner

A soundblaster sound card that ran 24-bit

A creative geforce 2 MX with 64MB DDR and a stock core clock 175mhz custom cooled as the original did not even come with a heatsink the custom cooler was a chopped up cpu sink with arctic silver's thermal adhesive holding it in place, an a 80mm fan mounted to it, it was Oced to 225mhz on the core thx to that mod.

It would play half life with the best of them in it's day.

Geforce ti4200 with a lapped core (yes' date=' I was insane to do this)[/quote']

I salute your balls of steel!

My first personal rig:

AMD Athlon 2500+

Thermaltake Tornado 7+ (Cracked my thumbnail straight down to the lumen when I was working some cable fu)

MSI K7N2G

256MB Generic RAM

Seagate 80GB Hard Drive

Having no clue what I was doing, I somehow overclocked it from 1.8 Ghz to 2.2 Ghz... I remember putting FSB and Vcore at the max .
