I'm currently using the MX518 and find 1800dpi the fastest I'll need. Maybe a tad more sensitive for fast-paced shooters like CoD4 (getting ambushed in tight quarters, etc.). I was considering the G500 but it looks more like a re-hash of the G5. Would it be that huge of an upgrade? The G500 is going for about $10-20CAD more than the G5.

Uhh, why is it that GTX 260's scale much better than CF 4890's & 4870's? Or am I missing something blatantly obvious with these results? I wouldn't waste my money on a 4890 when it cost about 30% more than a GTX 260 Core 216. SLI'ed together, they perform better than CF 4870's at the same price point and the more expensive 4890's. GTX 275 is virtually identical in performance to the 4890 (source: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3575&p=7) so GTX 260's would be the better deal at the moment.
