Andrewr05 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Seems like a good replacement for the stock intel cooler, if it was $15-20 cheaper I could see it being competitive against other cheap heatsinks. After all it didn't really do much better than the stock intel heatsink. gotdamojo06
RJR Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Yes, I understand you don't want to bad mouth any product you receive to review, but a little honesty would be nice. Pro's...........performance ???? Come on. Who in their right mind would spend $50 on a cooler that ran 80c at a 3.33 GHz OC, just barely beating a stock cooler. When it doesn't measure up, say so, people will then at least respect the review and the time and trouble of doing it.
gotdamojo06 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 The way that I see it, yes the performance is a positive The point of an aftermarket cooler is to do better than the stock cooler, which it was able to do. No it does not bring the temperatures down to somewhere like watercooling or a higher performance aircooler would, however it gets the job done and does better than the stock cooler. Bandrew Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 But I think the point is that it has a terrible performance to price ratio. There are much better options...
gotdamojo06 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 I wont deny that at all, the numbers speak for themselves
IVIYTH0S Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 I wont deny that at all, the numbers speak for themselves which is why it's "performance over stock" oughta be a con . Since the improvement is there, but the cost for acquiring that small gain is quite high nice review though, gotta give you credit for this one
