Psywar Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 As soon as I plugged just the modem in by itself it worked just fine. I double checked it with the splitter and I was getting no signal from Comcast. It seems to work intermittently with the splitter.
dr_bowtie Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 that means there is something knocking it out... a loose connection on any box or TV will cause enough issue to knock out the modem... I would go around and check all the connections. Also if signal is getting a load from all the TV you might need an amplifier... I put a splitter on teh outside of the house and ran one leg directly to the modem... the other leg goes in to feed all the TVs and it is on an amplifier installed by comcast... it is the same as the one my father-in-law gave me at my old house... let me get the numbers..... here is the EXACT one I have and it's easy to install.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Drop-EVO1-AMP-1-House-Signal-Booster-HDTV-Broadband-New-/230580372644
