Thermaltake's Blacx Hd Dock Reviewed

Recommended Posts

How can a Pro be "Very Quiet" in operation?

Surely that lies with what drive you put in it?

Just looks half-baked to me. No eSATA completely kills this for me. Who wants to transfer stuff at a chumpy 480Mbps max?

Good review, but no thanks. :)

That means that NO fan is required to cool the unit, unlike MOST full-size external hard disk enclosures that have awful 30mm fans whining about inside them. Even those that don't use fans for cooling can be quite loud, due to the craftsmanship of the item (does it rattle?) or that the enclosure vibrates too much (very annoying indeed).

I imagine that a future revision will include eSATA for sure.

For $35 I can see why esata might not be included

I had a older dock that I used to use that stupid thing was loud it had annoying hum to it, the thing was annoying.

Hmm, sounds like everyone has had a much worse eXternal enclosure experiance than me. :(

I have had my Vantec NexStar 3 for over a year now, and its quiet (no fan) has eSATA & USB, and cost me
