ccokeman Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 What happened with the 1024x768 and 1680x1050 3DMark06 scores? It looks like the performance went down with overclocking..? Drivers? Yep. The initial drivers I had with the 3870X2 were so poor I could barely run the benchmarks. The first set I had for this card were not much better but AtI's drivers do seem to mature rather nicely. ccokeman Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 The 4870 X2 suckzor on lower resolutions and without AA/AF High res + AA/af is where it shines, so, like most have alread said, the only reason one should buy a 4870 X2 is if they are gamming @ 1920 X 1200 or above.
