VaporX Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Thought it would be interesting to see how far people are overclocking their chips on their primary PC.
dr_bowtie Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I havent really overclocked since the AM2 days... I did overclock everything in the Socket A and 939 days... I pushed 939 as hard as i could without going to a sub-zero cooling...I mean pushing ddr400 to ddr760 speeds is unreal... but I did it. Leaning on AM2 and pushed a good 3.6ghz out of quite a few Brisbane chips and 3.8ghz out of a few... since then I've done little to no overclocking.... Guest_Jim_* Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 3.4 GHz OC versus 2.8 GHz stock, so ~20%. Now, how do you want to account for the unlocked fourth core?

Stonerboy779 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 My primary atm is my laptop so... stock. An OC would be senseless and annoyingly dificault if at all possible.

ir_cow Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 > 30% is easy even on air these days. i agree and these autoclock functions make it a breeze to hit 1ghz more.
Qu4k3r Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 OC is always funny and 30% is a good start. My former E7200 @2.53GHz +35%OC = 3.37GHz My currents: Q6600 @2.4GHz +33%OC = 3.2GHz Sempron 145 @2.7GHz +30%OC =3.5GHz
