  1. I need a motherboard that does NOT have a VIA chipset and that supports the following: Pentium 4 2.4A Ghz Prescott GeForce FX5500 OC PDP-Patriot 1.5GB PC3200 (256 x2 dual channel, and a 1GB) Firewire port Less than $150 I have an ASUS P4V8X-X but it cannot overclock because of ASUS's AI overclocking won't let me change anything. Preferably on Newegg.com
  2. I just got a GeForce FX5500 AGP 8X. I now have a 2164 3DMark score at 1152x864. All stock overclock with video at 300/402 and CPU from 2.4 to 2.5 (dang AI overclocking). And that was the GT3 skin for WindowBlinds.
  3. You think I could like flash another mobo's BIOS onto this one and lock it? Because I'm kinda out of money... Actually, I'm hoping there is a key combo that bypasses AI overclocking on this mobo so I can get to my settings.
  4. Most people I've seen have been able to OC this one w/o changing the voltage. My motherboard only has "AI" overclocking. I've tried to find settings to lock my PCI and AGP, but it's not there. Does that mean it's trying to OC my, well, everything?! Could that be the reason Halo is so choppy on my FX5500?
  5. Hi, I just bought a new system which consists of: ~Pentium 4 2.4A ~ASUS P4V8X-X ~PDP Patriot 256MBx2 PC3200 (PSD512400K) On many reviews, I've seen people overclock this processor past the 3Ghz mark on stock voldage and HSF w/ minimal temperatures. For some reason, as soon as I try to go past 2.68Ghz, it becomes unstable. It boots to my desktop at 2.70, but anything higher dosent work. Any suggestions?
  6. Okay, I need a new cheap but good video card very, very soon. Here's Why. I have a GeForce MX440. What card should I get that's under $100 and pretty good? I'm already getting a P4 2.4A and ASUS mobo w/ 512 Patriot RAMs
