  1. I would like to be able to do that as well but the first and second slots wont work properly.
  2. right now I am fine with 8 GB but I am planning on adding 8 GB more down the line so it irks me that I paid almost $200 and cant get much on support and if I wanted to upgrade down the line that I can't, not to mention I can't use Dual Channel only single channel. I paid good money and am not getting the $$$ worth that I should.
  3. My UEFI shows a total of 8 GBs in 2 slots at all times but when I go into windows and open computer properties it only says 4.00 GB. I use CPU-Z to check each RAM slot on the Mobo and the RAM info shows up but only says single channel instead of dual channel like it was supposed to. I don't have a means of posting pictures atm when I get back home in a little bit I will get some and post them.
  4. I have, if I put either sticks in either A1/B1 the computer doesnt boot however in A2/B2 they work fine, to test to make sure it wasnt the ram I used Memtest86 while the ram was in A2/B2 and they check out fine. I have even tried each stick in 2 other systems and in each they both worked fine. At this rate I may have to RMA this board but I am seriously not wanting to do that.
  5. By not usable I mean that if I put a stick of my RAM in the first two slots (A1/B1) it does not show up in windows, however if I go and load CPU-Z up and go through each of my memory slots the RAM is there. Only I can't use it for some reason. Example: I put 1 stick of ram in A1 and another in A2 so that its dual channel however windows only sees A2 so instead of 8 GBs I only have 4 GBs. If I do this with B1 as well it does the same thing.
  6. I would have done this already but I can't find any of the recommended Ram listed in their QVL anywhere..I've heard that same line from ASUS to many times and the RAM I have now works, its just the first 2 DIMM slots dont seem to work, or just only half way work.
  7. Okay: My Gaming Rig: Case: Cooler Master CM 690 II | PSU: LEPA B850 850 Watts | CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 260 3.2 GHz @ 3.8 GHz | Mobo: ASUS 990FX Sabertooth | RAM: G-Skill Sniper DDR3 1333 8GBs | GPU: MSI GTX 550 Ti x2 SLi | Hard Drive: Western Digital 750 Gb 7200-RPM | SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 60 GB | OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit Also the RAM's model number is F3-10666CL9D-8GBSR if anyone was wondering
  8. I have been using this motherboard in my current rig for a few months and am planning on upgrading a few things (RAM, Video Cards and CPU) problem is the motherboard has issues with using the A1 and B1 RAM slots, all contact with ASUS has ended with them refusing to help me diagnose the problem usually stating they cant, or in one case "wont" help me because I am not using the recommended RAM they list in their Memory QVL so I am lost. If I put RAM in the A1 or B1 slots the RAM shows up in CPU-Z but will not be usable. Anyone here on Overclockers Club ever heard of this issue?
  9. Yes I had one card for 2 weeks prior to the new card, and only had this problem after I installed the second card. I think I might need to just switch to a different system because as of late I've been having a lot of issues with the newer 990 and other 900 series motherboards.
  10. Ive tried your suggestion as well, I tried a HD 4870 and 2 other PSU's, I only had my LCD tv and an older sony monitor to try and neither of those worked either. I tried removing the ram sticks and doing one at a time but once again, nothing worked.
  11. Well, I followed your advice and even tried switching the video cards out but neither works. The only difference is for some reason one video card has "dvi no signal" and the other says "vga no signal" at the moment I am at a complete loss on what to do.
  12. There are absolutely no beeps at all, and I have made sure the cables and the cards are all seated properly.
  13. I have tried each card, neither work, but before installing the second card i had the first card for 2 weeks and it worked fine. now however neither work.
  14. I just got a pair of MSI GTX 550 Ti's to SLI and after installing the second card the monitor will not recognize either of the cards. All the fans start, my H100 runs and the video cards themselves run as well. but the monitor will not display anything. my specs are below: CPU - AMD Phenom II 550 BE @ 3.1 GHz Motherboard - Gigabyte AM3+ 990FX UD3 RAM - GSKILL Sniper Series DDR3 1333 4GB x2 PSU - LEPA B850 850 watt VGA - MSI GTX 550 Ti x2 Cooler - Corsair H100
