Dariuas Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Well, I don't know if they are bad or not. The PC would not turn on. This is the course of events that I think happened The water found its way in to my video card, while it was turned on. The water then found its way in to my PSU; just enough to short that PSU out. Once that was shorted out, the PC would not turn on again, every time it was pluged in the breaker would trip.
Dariuas Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Is there a safe way to test the video card with out putting another PC at risk?
El_Capitan Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Is there a safe way to test the video card with out putting another PC at risk? Unfortunately, no. You could try testing the motherboard's onboard video if you have one. Also, try putting it in a different PCIE2.0 slot. The way most of the better video cards are designed, if they go bad, they'll not affect the rest of your components.
